Our Story
Twenty years of building pools — and relationships — across the Valley.
Bryan Stradling, Founder

With an ASU construction management degree and a background in civil engineering, Bryan Stradling founded Sunkiss Pools twenty years ago — just ahead of the economic downturn. Through those tough beginning years, the company worked diligently, growing slowly and steadily while never compromising on quality.
That patience built something lasting. Today, the Sunkiss in-house crew has been together for years — some for over a decade — and the company’s focus has always been customer-oriented. That commitment shows: the majority of Sunkiss’s business comes from referrals and customers who found them through their reviews.
The Sunkiss business model reflects this customer-first philosophy at every level. Project managers design, estimate, and build each pool personally — so customers have one consistent point of contact from the first consultation through the final startup. No handoffs, no miscommunication, no starting over.
In recent years, the company’s mission statement has become simply: to do good. One of the ways they’ve pursued that mission is by sponsoring swim lessons for children in the community — family, friends, crew members’ contacts, and customers’ referrals. It’s brought new meaning to the work.
“We can’t wait to see what good the next twenty years will have in store.”
How We Work
Five principles that define the Sunkiss experience.
Your Project Manager Is Your Builder
At most pool companies, a salesman sells you the pool and then you're handed off. At Sunkiss, our project managers design, estimate, and build your pool. One person from first conversation to first swim.
An In-House Crew That Knows the Standard
Most pool contractors rely entirely on subcontractors. Sunkiss maintains a dedicated in-house crew — many for over ten years. You’ll typically see five or fewer outside vendors.
Your First Point of Contact
A dedicated office manager focused primarily on customer experience. She takes first calls, records what you’re looking for, assigns your project by geography, and follows up when you’re ready. Nothing falls through the cracks.
Do Unto Others
When difficult situations come up, the team asks: “What would we want done if this were our pool?” That golden-rule approach guides every decision.
Prepared Before We Meet
Before your first consultation, our team has already pulled aerial photos, checked county records for easements, and often started a preliminary design. We come ready.
